We invite you to meet a local doctor, a brave young mother overcoming domestic violence, Max the social connection dog, and Kathryn, the Community Connector who hold the Far South Outreach Program together in a short video which brings the story to life more powerfully than words alone.

While Tasmania is often left o the map of Australia, Dover & Southport are left o the map of Tasmania.

This region has a strong culture of resilience and self-reliance, it’s had to. Residents have built a connected and supportive community. However, there are limits to what they can sustain without support.

The Far South Outreach Program provides essential services to individuals and families in Tasmania’s Far South, including:

  • Counselling and wellbeing support
  • Food and emergency relief
  • Community connection and social programs
  • Support for older residents and people experiencing vulnerability
  • Assistance for victims of domestic and family violence
  • Community Connector outreach services

Since its establishment in 2024, the program has operated with limited resources yet consistently delivers strong social outcomes. Just as demand rises, current funding is coming to an end.

We’re a registered charity with DGR status and donations are 100% tax deductible.

Your support would help sustain a vital lifeline for a community that is too often forgotten.
